USSSA National runners-up!

Blakely native, Addison Mock and her 8u fast-pitch softball team, Alabama Fury ‘10, placed second in the 2019 USSSA National Championship in Gulf Shores, Ala.

In July, the Fury girls competed against 18 teams from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Kentucky, and remained undefeated until the championship. These girls also pulled their first triple play during the National tournament.

Alabama Fury ‘10 played in 10 tournaments during the Spring and Summer seasons. Their record was 31-13-1, and they outscored their opponents 480-270. They brought home five first place wins, two second place wins, and 1 third place. Alabama Fury ‘10 will advance to 10u this Fall. Addison Mock (#7) played second base and shortstop and had a batting average of .565 this season. She is a fourth grader at Southwest Georgia Academy. Addison’s biggest fans are her parents, Ashley and Valarie Mock, and her grandparents, Bud and Jo Mock and Felix and Priscilla Davis.
