Authorities are searching for suspect(s) involved in a shooting Monday, Nov. 16 at 2398 N. Woodlawn Dr.
Blakely Police officers were dispatched to a reported “home invasion with individuals being shot” at approximately 1:36 a.m. Upon arriving, officers discovered three individuals suffering apparent gunshot wounds.
Deputies from the Early County Sheriff ’s Office also responded to assist in securing the scene. Once the scene was secure, Lifebrite EMS and the Blakely Fire Dept. arrived to begin treating the injured.
Tony Smith, 36, and Dustin Jackson, 30, of Blakely were treated at area hospitals and later released. Clifford L. Moore, 63, of Blakely was pronounced dead at Lifebrite Community Hospital in Blakely.
The Blakely Police Dept. requested assistance from the GBI in conducting the investigation. Officers, Investigators and Special Agents spent Monday processing the crime scene, questioning potential witnesses, and following up on information as it was received.
At the time of this release, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
