Fourth grader Skylar Fleming was one of 38 students in grades 4-6 inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society last week at Florida State University Schools in Tallahassee.

The National Elementary Honor Society, established in 2008, recognizes students for their outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated personal responsibility. Through NEHS, students provide meaningful service to the school and community and develop essential leadership skills.

Students in grades 4-6 who meet the requirements for membership are eligible to be invited for membership. Qualifications are based on scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership.

Skylar is the daughter of Lenora and Heath Fleming of Tallahassee and the granddaughter of Billy and Judy Fleming of Blakely.
