FEMA deadline!

FEMA reminds everyone who may have yet undetermined storm damage from Hurricane Michael that the deadline to register is Dec. 13.

The Disaster Recovery Center in Blakely has closed, but, there are three other ways to register for disaster assistance:

• Online at www.disasterassistance.gov (documents can be uploaded to this website),

• By calling FEMA’s Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 (1-800- 621-FEMA), (711/Video Relay Service), 1-800-462-7585 (Dedicated TTY line), or

• By downloading the free FEMA mobile app from www.fema.gov/mobile-app .

If you miss the deadline to register, and discover Hurricane Michael related damage later, it will be too late to receive FEMA Disaster Assistance.
