The DAR Annual Constitution Day Luncheon was held in Albany Thursday, Sept. 6. The Peter Early Chapter NSDAR was invited to attend.

The luncheon was hosted by the Chehaw, Commodore Richard Dale and Thronateeka Chapters of the NSDAR. The American Legion Post 30 lined the entrance to the Women’s Federated Club House with the United States of America Flags.

The guest speaker was the Honorable Judge John Stephenson. Mayor Jim Quinn of Leesburg signed a Proclamation and afterwards the “ringing of the bells,” to commemorate the signing of the Constitution of the United States took place.

Let us all remember to “ring the bells” in the communities and churches at 4 p.m. Sept. 17 to honor the signing of the Constitution of the United States.
