SGA Lady Warriors defeat Early County on heels of Bradford’s no-hitter

Savana Bradford pitched a no-hitter to lead the Southwest Georgia Academy Lady Warriors to a 12-0 win over Early County in their Aug. 6 opener.

Striking out eight on the mound, Bradford opened the SGA scoring in the first inning with a RBI single.

SGA had 11 hits, led by Karsyn Carver who went 3-for-3 at the plate. Annalee Lockhart and Bradford also had multiple hits. he Lady Warriors also stole 11 bases, led by Taylor Bruner with three steals.

Southland 9-1

The Lady Warriors defeated Southland Academy 9-1 last week with a big seven-run fifth inning.

Annalee Lockhart, Mary Mac Cooper and Kamryn Carver all had RBIs in the inning.

Starting pitcher Karsyn Carver went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five.

The Lady Warriors had 10 hits with Lockhart, Carver, and Cooper leading with two hits each.

Lady Warriors are 2-0 on the season.
