Closer to home

There has been a lot of coverage related to U.S. MIA soldiers in North Korea since President Trump’s recent summit with North Korea leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.

There are an estimated 5,300 MIA soldiers in North Korea. The News is unaware of any MIA from Early County. However, the following is a list of Early County soldiers among over 33,000 killed in the Korean War: Joe Cashwell, Herman Chapman, Henry Cleve Enfinger Jr., Raymond Ralph Frith, Winifred Robert George, Jesse Thomas Hammack Jr., James R. Harris, Ronald Broughton Houston, Fletcher Foy Perry, James Robert Riddley, William Howard Whigham and Gerald Wright.
