Program planned to benefit cancer victim

A love benefit program will be held Sunday, July 15 at the James E. Merritt Community Center located at 216 Taylor Street in Colquitt for Herman Lett. Herman Lett, an employee of the Early County School System, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently receiving treatments in Gainesville, Fla.

In an effort to help defray costs, friends are asking that all his family and friends attend this program to show love and support. Deuteronomy 15:10 says “Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”

Anyone who is unable to attend and would like to give a love offering may do so by sending a money order to 454 East Main Street or 205 Fudge Lane, Colquitt, GA 39837.

There is also an account set up at Commercial State Bank in Blakely. Two cash apps may also be utilized for love offerings: $HermanLett or $twisty18.

Any and all offerings will be greatly appreciated. People who would like to perform in the program or for any questions, comments or concerns, may contact Norma Burr by e-mail, normajacksonburr@hot mail.com or by phone, 229-205-9453.
