A memorial service for Jim Bozeman is planned for Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. CDT at Bruce Assembly of God Church, 133 Church Road, Bruce, Florida 32444 with full military honors. Below is a reprint of the obituary published in January.

Clarence Monroe “Jim” Bozeman, 81, passed away Jan. 29, 2018, at Flowers Hospital, Dothan, Ala.

Mr. Bozeman was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Bruce, Fla., to the late Charles Monroe Bozeman and Ester Lee Bishop Bozeman. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt. Major after 30 years of service to our country. He also retired as an EMT from Early Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Alma Strickland, Gertrude Versiga, Lorraine Zampoero, Evie Fayard and Irene Bullock.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Estelle Herrington Bozeman of Blakely, Ga.; one daughter, Lea B. Martin and Joe of Dothan, Ala.; two sisters, Evie Fayard of Gulfport, Miss., and Ola Mae Mitchell of Titusville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Manry-Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
