Shooting suspect sought


Olajawun Douglas Olajawun Douglas The Sheriff’s Office has announced the identity of two additional suspects — Jordan Holmes and Olajawun Douglas — in connection with the June 9 shootings on North Church St.

Sheriff’s deputies answered a 911 call to the first shooting at approximately 1:55 a.m. that Saturday on North Church St. in the area where several nightclubs are located. They learned the shots followed a fight and that the unidentified subjects firing the guns had fled the scene.

Approximtely an hour later another call was received reporting numerous gunshots at a residence at 1005 North Church St.

Information obtained suggested the second shooting at the residence was a retaliation for the earlier incident just a few blocks away on North Church St

Early last week authorities identified and arrested three indivuals in connection with the drive by shooting. Javarious Dequan Price, 20, Erik Yarbrough, 20, and Darontae Favors, 20, were charged with eight counts of aggravated assault.


Jordan Holmes Jordan Holmes Jordan Holmes, 19, of Blakely was subsequently arrested June 13, and charged with eight counts of aggravated assault and one count of making false statements.

Wanted Suspect

Another suspect, Olajawun Douglas, 24, of Blakely was still eluding authorities Tuesday afternoon. Douglas has been charged with three aggravated assault warrants in connection with the gunshots fired following the altercation.
