Evening of Hope Thursday

The 3rd annualA Midsummer’s Evening of Hope in Early County” Thursday will help Primary Care of Southwest Georgia and the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia continue their work against cancer.

The entertaining evening will begin with the silent auction at 5 p.m. A buffet dinner and live auction, with music by Mike English will begin at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Breast Cancer survivor Angie Cleveland will be a guest speaker at the event. A cosmetologist and owner of Options Styling Salon, Angie was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer in 2009 and is now cancer free after having a mastectomy, eight chemo treatments, and 35 radiation treatments. She has also undergone several reconstruction surgeries.

The silent and live auctions will include over 85 donated items including event tickets, college football game tickets, fishing trips, autographed items, vacation attraction tickets, gift baskets and much more.

The event will help raise critical funds to increase cancer screenings for Early County residents. Unlike national cancer organizations, all funds raised will stay in Early County to help your families, friends and neighbors who are patients of Early County primary care providers.

Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at Primary Care of Southwest Georgia, 360 College St and LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early.
