Monica Ceasar of Blakely, Ga., and Eugene Wright of Grand Rapids, Mich., are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Trudie Ceasar and Alec McCoy, both of Blakely.

Ms. Ceasar is a 1991 graduate of Early County High School and a 1995 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in criminal justice. She is currently employed as a program technician at the Early County Farm Service Agency.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alandus C. Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.

He is a 1982 graduate of Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream, Ill. After graduating Mr. Wright served nine years in the United States Navy and in 1997 received a degree in early childhood education from Central Washington University and in 1999 received his masters degree in professional development from Heritage University. He is a fourth grade teacher at Campus Elementary school in Grand Rapids, Mich.

A 3 p.m. wedding is being planned for Aug. 11, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church in Blakely with a reception to follow at the Blakely Civic Center. Formal invitations will be sent.
