Eight students from Early County High School’s Band of Blue participated in the District 2 Solo and Ensemble Competition April 21 at Lee County High School in Leesburg.

This competition gives students the unique opportunity to play repertoire for their individual instrument or participate in a small group ensemble such as clarinet quintet (five clarinets).

Early County had four entries in the competition that include: two soloists, a duet and a clarinet quintet. The students worked hard all semester on these pieces and each soloist/group were able to pull off Superior Ratings across the board, The highest score they could receive.
