Keith Day running for Pataula judgeship


Keith Day Keith Day Assistant District Attorney Keith Day has announced his candidacy for Superior Court Judge of the Pataula Circuit to fill retiring Judge Joe Bishop’s seat.

After graduating from Early County High School, he attended Troy State University where he earned a BS degree with honors in accounting. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree with honors from Mercer University’s Law School.

He had been in private practice since 1992, until asked to join the District Attorney’s office in 1995 where he remains. He has concducted Superior Court hearings and trials in all seven counties.

In addition to being assistant district attorney for 23 years, he has been a child support enforcement attorney for 21 years, Seminole county Probate Court solicitor for 20 years, Colquitt Municipal Court Solicitor for 10 years, and has experience working with the Circuit’s Drug Court and Parental Accountability Court. He has three children Dustin and Jamie Griffin Day of Douglas, Dana Day of Blakely, and Katherine Michelle and Tyler McKay of Okinawa, Japan and three granddaughters; Madison and Makenna Day and newborn Norah McKay. He is the son of Elizabeth Day and the late Claude Day of Blakely.
