Fourth and fifth grade students at Early County Elementary School recently competed in a written vocabulary test and an oral Spelling Bee that was sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educators.

The rules and guidelines were followed according to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

The purpose was to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage that will enhance their lives.

First and second place winners will have the opportunity to compete in the System Spelling Bee in February.
