Robertson-Williams to exchange vows

Annie Doris Bryant Robertson of Gallion, Ala., is pleased to announce the wedding of her daughter and truly missed at this time is her husband, the late Roland Robertson, father of the bride. Andrea is the granddaughter of the late Sallie Mae Holmes and William Marshall of Blakely, Ga., and the late Elmore and Rosie Robertson of Gallion, Ala.

Andrea Shelea Robertson will wed Ricky Williams Jr., son of Ricky Sr. and Margaret Fikes Williams of Birmingham, Ala. The ceremony will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 at 4:30 o’clock in the afternoon.

Mr. Williams is the grandson of the late Carlene Williams and Fred Horn of Butler, Ala., and the late Cleveland and Henrietta Fikes of Uniontown, Ala.

A 2003 graduate of Demopolis High School, Miss Robertson attended the University of Alabama where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in communicative disorders. She is employed as a speech and language pathologist and owner of Holmes to Home Health and Rehabilitation Services in Birmingham. The bride-elect is a member of the Tuscaloosa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Mr. Williams is a 2001 graduate of Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Ala. He furthered his education at Jeff State College, attaining a degree in industrial electronics. He is a certified electrical technologist and is employed as an industrial technician with Mercedes-Benz in Vance, Ala.

Miss Robertson has selected her sister, Dr. Valencia R. Wells of Hoover, Ala., and her best friend, Shamika W. Harris of Tuscaloosa as her matrons. Attending her future sister-in-law as maid is Morgan Williams, who resides in Hattiesburg and attends the University of Southern Mississippi. Flower girls include Kylie Keys, Marlei Brooke Jones and Khole Fikes.

The future bridegroom’s best friend, Marty Myricks Sr. of Birmingham will serve as best man. Serving as groomsmen will be Michael Fikes, brother of the groom, of Huntsville, Ala., and Jesse Hall of Birmingham, friend of the groom.

Serving as ushers are Kelvin Robertson Jr. and Carnell Robertson Jr. Jaylen Myricks will serve as junior usher. Joey Harris Jr. and Marty Myricks Jr. will serve as the sign-carrier and bell-ringer.

The ceremony will take place at Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis, Ala. The adult-only reception will be held at the Demopolis Civic Center. For further details concerning reception attendance availability, please call 334-295- 5261.
