Massey crowned SGA queen


Karsyn Massey Karsyn Massey Karsyn Massey , daughter of April and Todd Massey of Donalsonville, was crowned Southwest Georgia Academy’s 2017 Homecoming Queen Oct. 6.

Senior Cameron Granger presented Karsyn with her crown. She received her banner from K.J. Warren. Seniors Bryant Tedder and Landon Durden saluted her with a kiss and senior Miller Pickle presented her with flowers.

The Queen’s Court included girls from each class, including seniors Jessica Andrews, daughter of Kaylah and the late Eddie Andrews of Arlington; Morgan Cannon, daughter of Jessica and Derry Cannon of Attapulgus; Sydney Thompson, daughter of Brooke Clinkscales and Jeff Clinkscales of Blakely, and Travis and Callie Thompson of Blakely; and Hannah Goings, daughter of Kim and John Goings of Arlington.

The Queen and her court with escorts were presented again during the Homecoming dance after the game. The Homecoming King, announced at the dance, is Bryant Tedder, son of Teresa and Teddy Tedder of Blakely.
