Bobcats lose to Brooks

The Bobcats lost 49-7 Friday night at Standifer Field to the undefeated and sixth ranked Brooks County Trojans.

The Trojans took a 35- 0 first half lead and added two more scores in the third quarter. The Bobcats’ touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a one-yard run by Escondarius Pinkney. Alex Warr kicked the PAT.

The Trojan defense held the Bobcats to 96 yards total offense, only 46 yards of 37 rushes. Pinkney was leading rusher with 26 yards on 19 carries. Arron Yarborough rushed for 23 yards on seven carries.

The defense was led by Jontavious Johnson, Carter Rowland, Ke'Voisier Stephens, Jarod Holmes, Ja'Kerious Ealey, Jamal Washington, Ryan Wade, Darrian Sheffield and Darrell Ceasar.

The Bobcats will play another undefeated region foe Friday night when they travel to Thomasville to play the eighth-ranked Bulldogs. Kickoff will be at 8 p.m.
