Wanted felons arrested

Dominic Gee Dominic Gee Acting on information that illegal drug sales were taking place, sheriff’s investigators executed a search warrant at the Quail Motel Sept. 26 during which a quantity of marijuana packaged for sale was recovered.

It was determined that Trent Johnson, 27, of Arlington, who had an outstanding warrant for probation violation, was the tenant.

Johnson was arrested on the outstanding warrant and also faces new charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Sheriff’s authorities were assisted by State Department of Community Supervision Officers.

Also last week, after receiving information that a wanted Houston County felon was staying in a local motel, investigators set up surveillance of the area.

Sheriff’s investigators arrested Dominic Gee, 31, of Blakely on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 27. Investigators had learned Gee was wanted out of Houston County, Alabama.

Johnson Johnson Gee was spotted driving an older model Tahoe. Additional units conducted a traffic stop on River St. and Gee was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a small amount of marijuana, prescription pills which were not in the proper container, and a firearm.

Gee was arrested on the outstanding Alabama warrant, and also faces local charges of possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana. Gee is currently being held in the Early County Jail.
