Gay-Busby to exchange vows

Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Frawley of Millen, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Krista Ann Gay of Millen, to Chad Allen Busby of Canyon, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Busby of Portal, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Grace Mosley and the late Harold Jackson of Waynesboro, Ga., and the late Alfred Frawley of Millen, and the great-granddaughter of the late William Gay of Hephzibah, Ga.

Miss Gay is a 2011 graduate of Jenkins County High School in Millen. She earned her associates degree in exercise health science in 2014 from East Georgia State College in Swainsboro, Ga., and bachelor of science in dental hygiene in 2016 from the Allied Health Science division of Augusta University in Augusta, Ga. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist at The Cosmetic Family Dental Group of Evans in Evans, Ga.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Williams of Portal, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Robinson of Bremen, Ga., and Darice Busby and the late Donald “Pete” Busby of Blakely, Ga. He is the great-grandson of Myrtle Abercrombie of Waco, Ga.

Mr. Busby is a 2010 graduate of Portal High School in Portal. He attended East Georgia State College, Swainsboro, where he was a member of the Bobcats baseball team and in 2014 earned his bachelor of science in animal science from Berry College and was a member of the Vikings baseball team. He is employed by Cactus Feeders as a feeding foreman at the Wrangler Feedyard in Amarillo, Texas.

The couple has planned to wed at 5 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2017, at Quinney Oaks Plantation in Millen.
