G-P employees give aid to Albany storm victims

Georgia-Pacific Cedar Springs Operation’s ServiceForce chapter, comprised of employee volunteers, organized a project earlier this year to help neighbors in Albany in their recovery from devastating storms.

Working with Early County’s Peanut Proud organization, employees donated bottled water, toiletries, nonperishable food, diapers, and pet food to benefit the many families throughout the community who were impacted.

Also, Georgia-Pacific’s Convoy of Hope delivered a truckload of paper products and cleaning items to Albany relief stations after the storms.

Additional storm relief efforts were coordinated by other community groups, churches and schools, including the Blakely Rotary Club which donated $1,000.
