Thelma Annette Sprouse, 86, passed away in Pasadena, Texas, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017.
Mrs. Sprouse was born Oct. 30, 1930, to James Clarence Roberts and Martha McKinnon Roberts.
She was an assistant youth director in her church in Houston, Texas, working with the youth and college students.
She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. and the Texas P.T.A. She was also a retired beautician.
Annette was proceeded in death by her parents, James and Martha Roberts; her husband, M.C. Sprouse; and daughter, Martha Sprouse.
She is survived by one son, Mark Sprouse III and wife Norma of Pearland, Texas; one daughter, Sue Ahmad and husband Izhar, of Spring, Texas; five grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and her adopted daughter, Carol Turk and her two children. She is also survived by good friends Bill and Katie Gray, Mary Ann McCrakin, several other relatives, and Dr. Gerald Isaacs.
Visitation was Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at 5 p.m. at Manry- Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Graveside services were Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Blakely Cemetery, Blakely, Ga.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
