ECHS Beta Club fundraiser benefits Easom cancer research

The Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation, a nonprofit pediatric cancer foundation headquartered in Perry, Ga., partnered with Early County High School in a fundraiser for the fight against pediatric cancer.

The Early County High School Beta Club sold Coca-Cola® products through Nov. 2, and all proceeds benefited the Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation. The Beta Club raised $2,000 and presented Lisa Easom Howard and Earline Easom of the foundation with a check on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Lisa Easom Howard, board member of the foundation, says the foundation was beyond thankful for the support of the Early County High School Beta Club.

“We were overwhelmed by the support of the Beta Club,” says Howard. “It is an incredible feeling to receive support from our hometown community, and we are beyond thankful for the support of our mission.”

Led by Early County High School Media Specialist, Ashley Collier, and Early County High School English and Literature Teacher, Tammy Kilgore, the Beta Club promotes academic achievement, character, service and leadership.
