Shipley-Bagwell wedding vows exchanged


Mr. and Mrs. Jensen Kyle Bagwell Mr. and Mrs. Jensen Kyle Bagwell Nicole Mandrell Shipley and Jensen Kyle Bagwell were united in marriage Feb. 11, 2012, at the home of the bride’s parents in Nashville, Tenn., before family and close friends.

The bride is the daughter of John and Louise Mandrell Haywood of Nashville; R.C. Bannon and wife, Natalie, of Nashville; and Steele Shipley and wife, Terri of Cookeville, Tenn. The groom is the son of Jimmy and Debbie Love Bagwell of Blakely.

Nicole is the granddaughter of Mary Ellen Mandrell and the late Irby Mandrell of Nashville. Kyle is the grandson of Cecil Love and Winona Love of Blakely and the late James and Annie Bagwell of Fayette, Ala.

The ceremony was performed by Pastor Josh Wooten and was directed by the bride’s cousin, Jaime Dudney. The bride’s best friend, Kellie LaPelle, of Nashville, was her maid of honor. The best man was Bobby Blake of Savannah, childhood best friend of the groom.

A beautiful wedding reception followed the ceremony, which was adorned with over 5,000 red roses fashioned by the bride’s aunt, Barbara Mandrell, who is also known for her roses. The bride’s dads surprised the couple and guests with an elaborate fireworks show as the couple departed.

Nicole is a graduate of Sevierville High School and Argosy College where she studied psychology and is employed with Cumberland Heights in Nashville. Kyle is a graduate of Sevierville High School and the Atlanta Institute of Art where he studied video production and is employed with Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville and as an independent video producer and graphic designer. Following a honeymoon to Austin, Texas, an area of special meaning to Kyle and Nicole, the couple now resides in Nashville.
