Mamie Lou McCormick

Mamie Lou Love McCormick, 72, of Blakely died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

Mrs. McCormick was born July 7, 1938, in Donalsonville to the late James Stewart Love and Charlotte Cloud love. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston McCormick; and two sons, William “Butch” McCormick and Jerry Thomas McCormick.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Sue Gay and husband Wayne of Colquitt, Ga.; two sons, Terry McCormick and wife Phyllis of Dothan, and Tracy McCormick and wife Dawn of Blakely; three sisters, Lavernce Ingram of Colquitt, Faye Moore and husband Arthur Ray of Marianna, Fla., and Reba Kegins of Chattahoochee, Fla.; one brother, Robert Love of Blakely; eight grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Love and Sterling Jones officiating. Interment followed at Springfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Phillip Buckhalter, Shelton Bruner, Ronnie Skipper, Travis Cook, William Love and Mike Thomas.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
