Jamie Edward Vickers, 34, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala.
Mr. Vickers was born Aug. 4, 1976, in Arlington, Ga., to Michael James Vickers and the late Deborah K. Varnum Vickers. He was a mechanic for Qualico Steel Company in Webb, Ala. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Cedar Springs, Ga., and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Survivors include his parents, Michael James Vickers and Candi Everson Vickers of Blakely; grandparents, Donald and Evelyn Vickers of Jakin, Emily Regan of Blakely and Janis Simon of Donalsonville; a twin brother, Jeremy Vickers and wife Tina of Panama City, Fla.; and a sister, Eve Smith and husband Gerald of Marietta, Ga.; and two nephews and five nieces.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Blakely with Rev. Gerald Kirby and Rev. Rick Turner officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Pine Lawn Garden Cemetery, with military rites.
Pallbearers include Chris Allums, Chris McCarley, Ray Enfinger, Greg Lawson, Shawn Myers and Jordan Mulkey.
Manry-Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
