Agents arrest three in Damascus
An undercover drug investigation led to the arrest of three suspects in Damascus Jan. 25 by agents from Pataula Drug Task Force and the Damascus police chief. Agents seized approximately 12.5 grams of marijuana with a street value of $375.00, digital scales and a sawed off shotgun.
Robert Early Jackson, a.k.a. Rusty, black male, approximately 35 years of age, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a sawed off shotgun and giving a false name to a police officer.
Joshua Scott Craft, biracial male, approximately 23 years of age, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to purchase marijuana, and Roger Norton Fairbank III, white male, approximately 28 years of age, was arrested and charged with DUI/alcohol.
Jackson and Craft were both on probation and are being held on the above charges along with probation violations. Fairbank was out on parole and is being held on parole violation. All are at the Early County Jail.
The Early County Department of Public Safety and the State Probation Department assisted in the investigation.
