Mary Daphene Chapman, 86, of Blakely died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at her residence.

Miss Chapman was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Blakely, to the late Joe Chapman and Mellie Sue Gill Chapman. She was a member of Westview Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Chapman; and three sisters, Earlene Stagg, Helen Smith and Sandra Lawson.

Survivors include one sister, Melba Grimsley and husband Chuck of Headland, Ala.; and one brother, William David Chapman.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Manry-Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Reppert officiating. Interment followed at Blakely Cemetery.

Manry-Jordan- Hodges was in charge of arrangements.
