Gladys E. Brown, 84, of Blakely, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, in Clinton, Md.

Mrs. Brown was born July 17, 1925, to the late Eugene and Hattie McIntosh. She was a member of the Bethlehem African Methodist Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brown Jr.; one brother, Joseph McIntosh; and three sisters, Pleasant McIntosh, Elizabeth Hunter and Alice Holmes.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Cunningham and husband Jesse of Ocala, Fla., and Brenda Brown of Forestville, Md.; one son, Irvin Brown and wife Yvonne of Ellicott City, Md.; five grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mashod Evans Sr officiating. Interment followed at Greene Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
