Turn named regional library director
      Jean Turn has been chosen by the Kinchafoonee Regional Library Board to be the region’s new director. Turn will replace Norris Wootton, who recently retired.

Arlington runoff election
      There will be a runoff election Tuesday in Arlington to settle the races for mayor and city council post 5. The mayor’s race ended in a tie Nov. 3 with incumbent mayor Jerome Brackins Sr. and challenger Marvin King both receiving 256 votes.
