Charlene Johnson

Charlene Bush Johnson, 81, of Blakely died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Miller County Hospital.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Miller County, June 7, 1928, to the late E.A. Bush and Lou Ella Williams Bush. She was a homemaker and member of Hentown Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Johnson; four brothers, Joe Bush, Abner Bush, Olin Bush and Harry Bush; and one sister, Lucille Creel.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanine McDonald and husband Wendell and Gail Whalen and husband Danny, all of Blakely; two sisters, Barbara Jean Waller and husband Glenn of Blakely and Alice Jones of Leesburg; step-mother, Lucille Bush of Lakeland, Fla.; three half-sisters, Barbara Lafoon of Dermott, Ark., Linda Grace of Holmes Beach, Fla., and Vivian Sammons of Blakely; two half-brothers, John K. Bush of Frostproof, Fla., and Dennis Bush of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Manry-Jordan- Hodges with Rob Argersinger officiating. Interment followed at Blakely Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Warren, Buddy Bush, Gerald Jones, David Bush, Milton Johnson and Dan Smith.

Manry-Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
