      Wesley Ceasar Sr., 74, of Blakely died Friday, July 17, 2009. Mr. Ceasar was born in Blakely Dec. 20, 1934, to the late Mack Ceasar Sr. and Corrine Sampson Ceasar. He worked and retired from Great Southern Plywood Company. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Mae Nella Ceasr, Aaray Ceasar, Adam Ceasar, Sarah Lou Johnson and David Ceasar Sr.

      Laura B. Burkett, 97, of Blakely died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Early Memorial Hospital. Ms. Burkett was born March 5, 1912. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Prater of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Nancy Serrano of Floral Park, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Gowan Pierce; one daughter, Jasmine Faye Pierce of Arkansas; two sons, Tony Pierce and Chad Pierce of Morgan City, La.

      Olen Lamar Jones, 90, of Cottonwood, Ala., died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born in Henry County, Ala., May 7, 1919, to the late Brady Jones and Mary Anne Benefield Jones. He resided in Houston County where he was a lifelong farmer in and around Cottonwood.
