Grady Anderson, 72, of Blakely died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Anderson was born in Blakely May 27, 1937, to the late Jim Anderson and Pearl Anderson. He was a retired laborer and member of St. Maryland Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and step-mother, Conetia Anderson.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Jackson and wife Willie Bell and Jackie Wade and wife Amy, all of Blakely; two daughters, Sara Lucas of Doraville, Ga., and Margaret Smith of Blakey; one sister, Flossie Anderson Williams and husband Robert of Hallandale, Fla.; one brother, Murry Anderson and wife Doris of Blakely; 18 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Saint Maryland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roosevelt Gardner officiating. Interment followed at Saint Maryland Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
