Early County Early Reading First held the last LEAP meeting for the 2008-2009 school year on Thursday, May 14 at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. At the 9 a.m. meeting, two parents were recognized with "Perfect Attendance" awards for having attended between July 2008 and May 2009. Kaplan University Catherine Speight of Jakin received a masters of arts and science in teaching and learning from Kaplan University, a summa cum laude scholar. At Kaplan University, she maintained a 3.9 GPA and was honored and selected to be a member of two honor societies, Alpha Beta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi. More ... Fourth grade Probe students recently enjoyed a trip to the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Ga. While there, they participated in a threeday, two-night environmental education course. Ragan, who earned the associate of arts degree as an education major. More ...
