Piggly Wiggly ribbon cutting held Monday
At long last, the request made most often by Early County citizens became a reality Monday at 8 a.m. with a ribbon cutting for Piggly Wiggly located at 113 North Main Street. The Early County School Board approved a tentative budget of $18,915,918 for the 2009- 10 school year at its June 25 meeting at the middle school. The Early County Sheriff's Office arrested two subjects in connection with area burglary and copper thefts. Jamichael Sheperd of 325 Eddins Road, Dothan, and Johnathan Ford of 705 Killarney Road, Jakin, both age 20, are being charged with at least seven area burglaries in the Jakin area along with the theft of copper wire taken from irrigation systems in the same area.
