Mary Jackson, 90, of Hallandale Beach, Fla., died Friday, May 29, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Blakely Oct. 28, 1919, to the late Alberta Jinks and Thomas Jinks. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Amy Gibson, Clara Byrd, Joann Gray and Sarah Williams; and three brothers, Thomas Jinks Jr., Louis Jinks and Jessie B. Jinks.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jo Williams of Blakely; one son, Thomas Williams and wife Mary of Atlanta; one stepdaughter, Idis Jones and husband Roosevelt of Blakely; one brother, Eddie W. Jinks and wife Joann; two sisters, Elaine Harris and husband Lonnie of Detroit, Mich., and Gladys McCoy of Blakely; three grandchildren, Chiquita Whiting and husband Lee, Arvis Williams of Hallandale Beach, Fla., and Candra Williams of West Park, Fla.; and seven great-grandchildren, Shaquavia Whiting and husband Calvin, Michael Inman, Jeremiah Inman, Arviesha Williams, Maya Williams of Hallandale Beach, Fla., Ta'Ryah Inman and David Moore Jr., of West Park, Fla.

Funeral services were Monday, June 8, 2009, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Williams officiating. Interment followed at St. Maryland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lee Morgan, Kevin Grier, Terry Williams, Calvin Daniels, Tracy Williams and Telly Jinks.

Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
