Non-partisan qualifying underway thru Friday

Qualifying for non-partisan candidates who will appear on the Nov. 4 General Election ballot opened Monday and will continue through 12 noon Friday.

When the Early County News was heading to press Tuesday afternoon, the following candidates had qualified: Probate Judge - Clink Alexander and incumbent Tonya Holley; Board of Education District 5 (at-large) - incumbent Ronnie "Rat" Ashley and Jackie Love; State Court Judge - Tom Baxley; Pataula Circuit Superior Court Judge - Ronnie Joe Lane: and Pataula Circuit District Attorney - Craig Earnest.

Other non-partisan races for which candidates are qualifying for this week include: Board of Education District 1, William Davis, incumbent, and District 2 Phyllis Craft, incumbent.
