$4.00 gas

The buzz the past few days around Georgia and across the nation has been the record high gas prices, approaching and passing the $4.00 mark.

The price of a gallon of regular gas ranged from $3.95 at Cannon Oil to $4.09 at Blakely Texaco in Blakely Tuesday.

According to www.georgiagasprices. com, the price of a gallon of regular gas across Georgia ranged from $3.77 at a Murphy USA in Macon to $4.19 at a Chevron in Darrien.

A poll on the website revealed that 26 percent of people surveyed were unable to travel for their vacation due to the high gas prices. Another 20 percent were able to travel, but 18 percent did not travel as far as they had planned.
