Darton College

Among those students from Blakely who made the dean's list at Darton College for the spring 2008 semester are Evan Balkcom, Carmen C. Lambert and Tamara M. Turner. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must be full time and have earned a 3.4 or higher grade point average.

Making the merit list at Darton College for the spring 2008 semester are Stephanie R. Benton, Henry J. English, Kelvin Hall and Sandy Hall. Students from Arlington also making the merit list are Merida Gainer and Nhu-Phuong Nguyen. To qualify for the merit list, a student must be part time and have earned a 3.4 or higher grade point average.

Georgia Southern

Michelle Pullen is a candidate for a degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. The ceremony was May 10 in Paulson Stadium. Sen. Isakson delivered the commencement address.

Troy State

Troy University has announced its Dothan campus honor students for the spring 2008 semester, according to Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan campus vice chancellor. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 4.0 qualify for the chancellor's list, the university's top honor roll. Part-time students who earn a 4.0 grade point average on 12 consecutive semester hours of credit are also named to the chancellor's list.

Full-time undergraduate students with a grade point average of 3.65 or higher qualify for the provost's list. Part-time students who average 3.65 or higher on 12 consecutive semester hours of credit are also named to the provost's list.

Alvetta Brown and Brook L. Freeman of Blakely and Carlton K. Helms and Amanda G. Riley of Donalsonville are on the chancellor's list.

Sarah J. Carroll, Teresa M. Stamper and Gail Stringer of Blakely, Shannon R. Adams of Donalsonville and Candy C. Trawick of Iron City are on the provost's list.
