Viola Jones Hall

Viola Jones "Bay" Hall, 85, of Edison died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Calhoun County Nursing Home in Edison.

Mrs. Hall was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Waycross to the late Luke and Beatrice Jones. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Bluffton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Hall, and her sister, Lila Wright.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jane George; two granddaughters, Mershay George and Moniqa George, all of Arlington; four nephews, Willie B. Alexander of Blakely, Walter Wright and wife Mackie of Edison, John E. Wright of Corpus Cristi, Texas, and Clay Wright and wife Sylvia of Albany; and one niece, Margaret Williams and husband Henry of Albany.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of New Prospect Church in Arlington with Rev. Washington and Rev. Dixon officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Baptist Church in Bluffton.

Pallbearers were Charles "Yogi" Robinson, Keith Hodges, Harold Robinson, Charles "Chucki" Robinson, Eric Williams, Kelvin Alexander and Henry Williams Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Willie B. Alexander, Walter Wright, John E. Wright, Clayton Wright, Charles "Buster" Robinson and Martin Robinson.

Murray and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
