Parents As Teachers enrolling new families

Parents as Teachers is enrolling families with children age 0-3. Children are born to learn and PAT can give parents the tools children need to be ready and succeed in school. Call 723- 5122 for more information. PAT services are available at no cost to the family. It is sponsored by Early County Literacy Taskforce and Family Connection FACES, and funded in part by Children's Trust Fund of Georgia through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly.

Program available for Out-of-School Youth

Early County Family Connection FACES has received Workforce Investment Board funding to provide basic education skills training and conduct case management services for up to 50 out-of-school youth (ages 16-21). The program will involve classroom and work-based training.

Upon earning a high school diploma or GED participants may pursue goals in post-secondary education, advanced training, the military, apprenticeships or employment. These services will enhance the customer's ability to become self-sufficient and attain long-term, unsubsidized employment in occupations that offer benefits and growth potential.

Anyone interested in enrolling in the program should call Family Connection FACES at 723- 5122 or visit the Family Learning Center, 40-A Harold Ragan Dr.
