Area students among 256 graduating from Bainbridge College Drawing on the wisdom of George Washington, Dr. James A. Burran inspired 1,100 listeners at Bainbridge College's Graduation with positive and productive ways of living. Burran, former Dalton State College president, was introduced by Bainbridge College President Dr. Tom Wilkerson, with whom he had worked almost 25 years in the University System of Georgia. The college had 259 graduates, including the first graduates of the Associate Degree of Nursing Program. Among those were Tessie L. Brackins of Arlington and Douglas Brent Henry of Jakin.
