NOTICE: Firearms illegal on Corps lands The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers cautioned last week that the new Georgia Gun Bill signed into law by the Gov. Purdue does not apply to Corps managed lakes and lands. "This clarification was prompted by inquiries and media reports about the law's application to parks" said E. Patrick Robbins, Mobile district public affairs officer.
Corps managed property is regulated by the Code of Federal Regulations which specifies that possession of firearms and ammunition is prohibited unless in the possession of federal, state or local law enforcement officers or when being used in compliance with hunting regulations.
