Kim Hall "Teacher of the Year"
Superintendent Kenneth Hall announced Kim Hall as the systemwide teacher of the year. Kim teaches ninth through 12th grade English literature and video production. She has worked in the Early County School System for six years. She and her husband, Bob, have one daughter, Ava Sullivan. She also has a step-daughter, Savannah Hall. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Auburn University and a master's degree in secondary education from Troy University at Dothan. ECES Principal David Ferry recognized Wendy Brownlee, Elizabeth Knox, Ellen Miller and Shannon Waller as nominees for teacher of the year and announced Renee Smith as the ECES teacher of the year. ECMS Principal Donnie Yarbrough recognized two nominees, Mary Ann Lednicky and Ann Swift, and announced Mary Ann Lednicky as ECMS teacher of the year. ECHS Principal Irene Bush recognized five nominees, Kim Hall, Cheri Harrell, Eric Harris, Linda Hunter and Brenda Johnson and announced Kim Hall as the ECHS teacher of the year.
Assistant superintendent Deborah Collier recognized 12 retiring educators - three from Early County Elementary School, Sara Cobbs, 23 years; Jeanne Harrell, 26 years; and Charlotte Moore, 38 years; three from Early County Middle School, Glynda Harris, 20 years; Susan Helms, 26 years; and Judy Lee, seven years; two from Early County High School, Tim Bundrick, 24 years; and Karen Dalton 31 years; and three from the system, Ann Boyd, 35 years; O.C. Gray, 18 years, and Reba Hall, 33 years.
