Judge sets final hearing date The News learned shortly after going to press last week that the May 28 hearing date for the petition challenging Administrative Law Judge Stephanie Howells' January ruling upholding the Longleaf power plant permits has been rescheduled again, to June 3. Fulton Superior Court Judge Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore had originally set the one-day hearing for May 9. That date had to be changed "due to the court's calendar." The May 28 date had to be changed due to a petitioners' lawyer's plans to be in France that date. Additional court calendar and attorney conflicts caused Judge Moore to set the June 3 date, noting in her order that "there will be no re-sets from this date." Click here to see judge's order.
