SGA to graduate 25 May 22

Southwest Georgia Academy's 25 seniors are preparing for theirgraduation exercises set for May 22 at 8 p.m. in the Joe Bryan Auditorium in Damascus.

Among the 25 seniors will be 10 honor graduates who will have special parts on the program.

Lindsey Marie Taylor will begin the program by giving the invocation and leading the audience in the pledge to the United States flag. Ashley Lyn Tedder will give the welcome.

The main speeches will be given by honor graduates, Jason Gerald Dean and Stephen Blake Shepard. Haley Dianne Haire and Harmony Nicole Bailey will call the roll for diploma presentation.

Andrew Rogers Bridges and Jignesh Chandrakant Patel will introduce special parts of the program, Kayla Danielle Craft will give the farewell, and Steven Blake Lanton will pronounce the benediction.

Under the direction of Mrs. Arthur Joe Sloan, the entire class will perform "Graduation Song - Friends Forever" as well as the Southwest Georgia Academy Alma Mater.

Mrs. George Alto Warrick will play the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance" by Elgar for the processional and "War March of the Priest" by Mendelssohn for the recessional.

Mrs. Marcus Cleon Gibbs, senior class sponsor, will recognize the members of the Class of 2008. Douglas Woodham Dease will present special awards, and Mr. Dease and Jeffrey Carroll Brown, chairman of the board, will present diplomas.

Marshals for the exercise include Victoria Elizabeth Askew, Brittany Megan Bowen, Willis Wade Brown, Mary Wallace Corrigan, Lane Miles Hudson, Miles Heard Lee, William Tate Murdock and Erin Kaye Siminerock.

Beta Club graduates include Harmony Nicole Bailey, Andrew Rogers Bridges, Lindsay Suzanne Buckhalter, Kayla Danielle Craft, Haley Dianne Haire, Brooke Augusta Ricketson, Stephen Blake Shepard, Lindsey Marie Taylor and Ashley Lyn Tedder.
