Redding earns degree

Hugh Redding
Hugh Redding was recognized as an honor graduate from Middle Georgia College on May 9 with an associate of science degree in physics. While at Middle Georgia College, Hugh was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

Hugh spent his 11th and 12th grade years dualenrolled at Early County High School and the Georgia Academy of Aviation, Mathematics, Engineering and Science at Middle Georgia College.

G.A.A.M.E.S. is an elite residential educational program offered by Middle Georgia College to top-performing high school juniors and seniors with academic talent and a special interest in mathematics, engineering and science. This program allows students who meet the strenuous admissions requirements to obtain high school and college credit simultaneously while enrolled full time in college courses.

Hugh will graduate from Early County High School on May 24. He has been accepted into the mechanical engineering program at Georgia Tech in Atlanta and plans to begin classes fall 2008. Hugh is the son of Art and Joy Redding.
