Mr. and Miss ECHS 2008 selected
Kristina Cooper has been extensively involved in clubs and sports throughout her four years at Early County High. Currently student council body president, she has also held offices or been involved in Leo, Health Occupations Vica, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, TSA, Interact and Book Club. She has served four years as a varsity and competition cheerleader, being named a 07-08 All-American Cheerleader. She has competed in softball and track and field. She is a two-time region champion pole vaulter. Other involvements have included being a member of chorus and studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern and pointe dance. She is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Kristina has been a homecoming court attendant two years, 2005 Teen Miss Early County, Who's Who Among American High School Students, class superlative and 2008 prom queen. She is an honor graduate with a dual seal, earning her CNA certification. She has also been named to the honors list at Bainbridge College. She plans to attend Valdosta State University and major in biology. Ryan Ferguson has been an active Band of Blue member throughout high school. He has been band captain two years, trumpet section leader three years and performed in the Auburn University Honors Band. He is senior class president and has held offices or been involved in the Foreign Language Club, Band Society, Beta Club, TSA, Interact, Math Team and Book Club. His community involvement includes being a volunteer with Ft. Gaines Nursing Home, historic district, military/ funeral trumpeter, Adopt-A-Mile, Toys for Tots and canned food drives. He is a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Ryan has been named in Who's Who Among America's High School Students four years, National Honors Society, People to People Student Ambassador and National Society of High School Scholars. He has been on the honor roll and principal's list four years and is a class superlative.
