Commodity distribution scheduled in Early County

USDA government surplus commodity distribution will be held in Early County at 1241 South Main Street in Blakely May 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. if supplies last.

All recipients must certify their eligibility. Those who wish to qualify need to bring some form of identification and know their total household income.

If you send someone to pick up the commodities for you, they must have a written note signed by you listing your social security number, address and total household income.

Please brings bags and/or boxes to place items in. Each issue will weigh about 21 pounds.

Items scheduled for distribution include apple sauce, canned chicken, carrots, grapefruit juice, great northern beans, green beans, mixed vegetables, peanut butter, peas, rice, roasted peanuts, spinach, tomatoes, tuna and veggie soup.

This distribution is operated in accordance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture policy which does not permit discrimination because of race, color, sex, age, handicapping condition or national origin.
