DOT announces traffic shift Georgia DOT has announced that a traffic shift on the south end of the U.S. 27 Bypass in Blakely is scheduled to take place early next week. Traffic will be shifted from the existing northbound lanes to the southbound lanes which will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane. This switch will allow work on the connecting curve for the Blakely Bypass on US27/SR1. DOT urges travelers to call 511 for updated information Callers also can transfer to operators to request assistance or report incidents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
